The Defense of Moscow 1941: The Northern Flank (Stackpole Military History Series), by Jack Radey, Charles Sharp

A 'must read' by historian and layman alike. --Col. David M. Glantz, author of Kursk

"An important book that will surely become the definitive account." --John Prados, author of Normandy Crucible

Nazi Germany's best chance of winning World War II on the Eastern Front came in October 1941. Most of the Red Army's forces around Moscow had been smashed or encircled, and no reserves were available for the capital's defense. All that stood in Germany's way was a handful of Soviet rifle divisions, tank brigades, and militia. When their attack ground to a halt, the Germans blamed the mud, but close examination reveals that it was the scraped together and poorly coordinated resistance of the Red Army that stopped the Germans. Radey and Sharp tell the dramatic story in this study of a pivotal battle in the struggle for supremacy in the East.

  • Compelling study of how the Soviets inflicted a stunning defeat on the Germans during the early years of World War II
  • Relies on archival records from both sides to shatter old myths about this battle

    Review
'Clear, concise, and well-written, by skillfully exploiting newly-released and long-neglected archival materials, the authors of this book have provided not only fresh insights as to how and why the battle for Moscow was fought, but also necessary context for understanding why Germany ultimately lost the war. It is a "must read" by historian and layman alike.' David M. Glantz

    Worth the Wait
    By John Prados
One immensely satisfying aspect of reading history is to discover how good historians can take events we thought we understood and reframe them, opening new vistas that are quite unexpected. Jack Radey and Charles Sharp have accomplished this very thing in their new Russian Front history, THE DEFENSE OF MOSCOW 1941: THE NORTHERN FLANK.

Radey and Sharp focus their investigation on actions that took place around Kalinin, north of Moscow. The received history is that, in the Germans' "Typhoon" offensive, pincers went for Moscow from both the south (Guderian) and the north (Hoth) while in the center the Nazis ground up Soviet defenders in the Vyazma pocket. "General Mud" (then "General Winter") plus Russian reinforcements arriving from the Far East combined to re-establish the front and Moscow was saved. Many years ago Alan Clark told us in his classic BARBAROSSA that the Germans had broken through at Kalinin but by the end of October 1941 their advance had slowed to a snail's pace. Paul Carell in HITLER MOVES EAST detailed the fierce fighting around Kalinin itself. It turns out those histories retail bare fragments of the real story, now brought to us in a stunning manner by Jack Radey and Charles Sharp.

The authors demonstrate with convincing detail how and why much of our conventional understanding needs to be revised. First off, the German thrust at Kalinin aimed not at Moscow but instead was intended to protect the flank of the general advance by interposing a block between the Moscow sector and the Soviet forces to the north, possibly ensnaring some of them in conjunction with an attack by Army Group North. THE DEFENSE OF MOSCOW not only analyzes in detail the succession of orders issued by panzer group commander Hoth, but it covers the desperate decisions by--and infighting among--Soviet leaders and commanders, including Zhukov, Konev, Maslennikov, and Beria. The reconstruction of German activity shows that supply factors had more to do with the outcome than weather--in fact Radey and Sharp have dug out weather data which reveal the Wehrmacht was not actually stuck in the mud after all. A German fixation with certain territorial objectives--none in the direction of Moscow--led to a long finger penetration behind Soviet lines that was counterattacked from all directions, much like the British at Arnhem or U.S. Marines at the Chosin Reservoir. As in those other battles the desperate German retreat became epic, as were a number of Soviet operations such as the deep raid of the 21st Tank Brigade. Plus, along with their investigation of the forces involved, Radey and Sharp buttress their chronicle with translations of key combat orders and situation reports from both sides. Altogether, based on this considerable research in both Soviet and German records, the authors present an account that compels us to reconsider what we think we knew. THE DEFENSE OF MOSCOW 1941 is an important book that will surely become the definitive account of the battles on the Soviet capital's northern flank.

By way of disclosure I need to say I know both Jack Radey and Charles Sharp, and I knew of this project and encouraged them to proceed with it. For many years Jack, Charles and I all presented historical seminars at boardgaming conventions, and we were almost always scheduled up against each other. Among my regrets from those days is that I was seldom able to watch them in action. Now we can all enjoy their work at our leisure. THE DEFENSE OF MOSCOW 1941 has been well worth that wait.

A masterful read with insightful analysis
    By Dave Schranck
I misinterpreted the title when ordered; I thought this book would be very similar in coverage to Zetterling and Frankson's "The Drive on Moscow 1941" but perhaps presented from the Soviet perspective. "The Drive on Moscow" is your more conventional look of Operation Typhoon as the three panzer armies lead the advance toward Moscow. It begins in early October with the huge encirclement battles near Vyazma and Bryansk and works its way to the gates of Moscow in early December. Zetterling spends about ten pages on the battle for Kalinin as a secondary issue for von Bock as he leads his AGC toward Moscow. This side campaign was considered only moderately difficult with little impact on why AGC failed to capture Moscow. The book in review will sternly refute that position.
"The Defense of Moscow 1941" spends its entire narrative of 177 pages on this difficult series of battles that cost 3rd PzA so much in men and panzers that by the time the final drive on Moscow was launched the panzer army had relatively little to contribute to the assault.
Radey and Sharp bring an entirely new look at the scale and importance of the Kalinin campaign that went far beyond the scope of taking just the town. It was a coordinated attempt by AGC along with elements of AGN to destroy approx seven Soviet Armies of the Western and Northwestern Fronts in order to relieve pressure on their flanks in order to resume their advance toward Moscow and Leningrad respectively.

The book surprisely begins after the start of the Vyazma and Bryansk encirclements with the authors artfully setting the stage for the Kalinin Campaign. The overall battle status of both sides is explained as well as the key units that will take part in the upcoming struggle. For the Germans, 3rd PzA (41st PzC) will lead the charge north toward Kalinin and beyond. For the Soviet side the northern flank of Western Front plus elements of the Northwestern Front and the Kalinin Group will do everything possible to prevent a German penetration.

The authors have collected, assimilated then presented a wealth of information for this unappreciated campaign that shows a number of key insights. The overall German plan had merit but AGC couldn't devote sufficient assets to succeed. The chaotic but determined resistance by the Soviets continued to plague and cost the Germans dearly. The Germans continued to underestimate the Soviet resistance, forming too ambitious plans, especially so late in the year that would backfire. It was too late in the year to follow through on the drive toward Moscow while failing most of the objectives of the Kalinin Campaign but von Bock and Hitler failed to see the significance of that failure. These and many more conditions are presented to show how this campaign had a major influence on why Moscow couldn't be reached. The authors also go on to argue that October was the best and last chance for Germany to defeat Russia but by the end of October with failing fuel supplies, high attrition and rainy / muddy conditions slowed the advance to a crawl that inevitably caused AGC to fail.

The book has a dozen maps strategically placed which were telling but greater deployment detail would be appreciated, seeing that most maps never drilled down to below Corps level. It also has a small but excellent photo gallery to study. This book is also heavily annotated, with a good Bibliography and Index to assist with further research. The Appendix also includes an OB for both sides, as well as key documents and orders for both sides to help support the author's arguments.

This book is not a standalone book of Operation Typhoon, the attempt to capture Moscow but it is an indispensable book to read in conjunction with "The Drive on Moscow 1941" or Colonel Seaton's "The Battle for Moscow" for it presents additional information and insight these other books miss that taken together establish a much clearer understanding of the drive for Moscow and the condition of AGC in the waning months of 1941 . This excellent book plus the other two books mentioned are highly recommended to serious history buffs of WWII.

    Highly interesting and enjoyable book.
    By Aristeidis Kosionidis
I was quite excited to hear of this book: I knew of Charles Sharp's extensive work on Red Army organisation and tactics, and had the opportunity to appreciate Jack Radey's deep knowledge of the Eastern Front when some years ago he generously shared information about the Black Sea campaign for a small project of mine.

This suggested a thoroughly researched account, to start with, and in that aspect the reader will not be disappointed. Throughout the book, Sharp and Radey offer detailed descriptions of structure, strength and equipment of the units involved (occasionally down to the names of company commanders), an impressive feat, especially if one considers the nearly chaotic state of the Red Army in October 1941. The extensive use of both German and Soviet sources and archives allows the narrative to be built on solid foundations, and the authors are not shy about pointing out where the accounts differ, or their reasons for choosing a particular interpretation in cases of conflicting information- a mark of commendable scholarship. To round this off, the book's notes are detailed and well structured, and several annotated appendices provide exhaustive cover of the subject.

The subject itself, the battles around the city of Kalinin to the North of Moscow, is quite original. It is handled relatively superficially in Eastern Front histories, and to my knowledge this is the first book to deal with it in detail. As a road and rail node, Kalinin was a worthwhile objective, but the fighting around it was not solely about the city's posession. It was also a stepping stone for one more of the great encirclement battles that characterised the german advance into Russia in 1941. The book is therefore concerned with two "operations": the fighting for the city, and the -eventually succesful- Soviet attempt to halt the pincer of the encirclement passing through it.

What makes the book particularly fascinating is that Sharp and Radey do not limit themselves to merely providing an account of this battle. Through it, they study the German and Soviet armies in the winter of 1941, in terms of organisation, planning and operations. Their insightful analysis points out the strengths, weaknesses, and methods of both sides, and the description of the battle clearly illustrates all these factors at work. It can be argued that the same "traits" on display during the contest for Kalinin also governed the overall course of the battle for Moscow, so the thematic scope of this book is wider than the geographically localised incidents it covers (and justifies the title).

Another enjoyable aspect of the book is the writing style. Without resorting to literary flourishes or such devices, Sharp and Radey manage to make their book easily readable, without sacrificing the narrative. Having struggled with a number of history books that were excellently researched but written in a dry and tiring style, I was pleasantly surprised by how easily this book "flowed", and how effortless it was to build up a clear picture both of the battle and the individual incidents decribed.

In summary, a book highly recommended.

Fae to the rescue 5 stars
    By TheGeekInPink
H.D. Gordon is a new author to me and I was captivated by her storytelling. The Halfling is fast paced, mystery/suspense urban fantasy that takes you on a wild ride. It has magic, cool gadgets, super swoony men, a kickass heroine, smart and engaging sidekicks and best of all it also has a superhero.

Aria Fae is a seventeen year old, half human and half Fae, who has been banished to the human world. All she knew to be true is no more. Her mother is gone and so is her home. The Peace Brokers she has spent her young life serving for has exiled her, never to return home again. Never thinking how she will survive on her own.

As Aria struggles to accept her fate, she finds herself suddenly thrust into an alien world called, Grant City. She wants to desperately blend in, become the shadow, and hide from everyone so no one notices that she is different.

On her first day at school, she rescues Samantha Shy from getting beat up and forges a bond of true friendship in the midst of confusion and loneliness of this new destiny. Samantha takes Aria under her wings and shows her the ropes. Sam is a geeky, computer whiz. But deep down Sam hides an intense pain that was brought on by the loss of a loved one.

As the story develops, I loved how the author addresses Aria’s battle with depression, how she defined the disease. She portrayed Aria as a strong willed, young woman yet she did not shy away from showing Aria’s vulnerable side. As Aria struggles with what the future holds for her, she succeeds in acclimatizing herself to her new situation with the help of Sam and finally reveals the truth about her origin to her. Sam being Sam totally embraces Aria being half human and half Fae.

H.D. Gordon very subtly incorporate a touch of romance into the story with the entrance of mysterious Reid and charming young Caleb. All through the book I kept rooting for Reid, he played an integral yet elusive role as Aria’s neighbor. Aria manages to intrigue Reid but he keeps his thoughts very close to his chest and never reveal that he knows or that he sees everything. And for Aria there is something about Reid that strikes her imagination and seizes her teen hormones. Whereas, Caleb played a huge role in the story what with his father being who he is. Caleb on the other hand is pretty straight forward about his interest in Aria and he pursues her relentlessly. As Aria slowly starts to make a new life for herself in Grant City, she also makes a new friend in her employer, Rose.

Then Sam, because of her tragic past and because of the Fae skills that Aria possesses, comes up with a plan. She wants Aria to fight crime during her nights and keep the streets of Grant City safe. Sam manages to get her childhood best friend, Mark to tag long on their quest. At first things are easy, dangerous but exhilarating, the trio make a perfect team, each bringing a skillset into the mix. They manage to make quite a dent in the Black Magic market. But little do they know that the main man, Mr. Shy wasn’t a dummy. My heart about jumped out of my chest with what transpires. The true revelation of who Mr. Shy is and what he is all about almost made me throw my kindle. What Aria had to face, how she had to center herself. And the ending and the hurting. OH MY LORD.

The ending left me craving for more and some part of why Aria was banished comes to light. It made me angry and sad and I wanted to hug her and make her feel safe and accepted. If you haven’t read the The Halfling then don’t wait any more, go and 1-click this fastastical story about Fae and their kinds.

I love when a book exceeds my expectations!
    By Sherry Fundin
The Halfling by H D Gordon is the first book in The Aria Fae Series, a paranormal fantasy that exceeded my expectations with fantastic writing and characters that grabbed hold of me and wouldn’t let go.

Aria knew she couldn’t run from her past, but here she is, in a new place. She is a skate board riding Fae, part of the Brokers, an organization of Halflings, half supernatural and half human. She is an empath and I cannot imagine how difficult that would be in high school. Her empathy and need to help gets her in trouble, but I love her for it. How can I resist a strong character who marches to her own drum?

She meets up with Sam, a girl hacker who becomes her BFF and it changes everything. I love the little nerd, Sam, who is your typical teenager…except for her supernatural skills. I love the connection that brought them together, but you will need to find out for yourself. The girls fun personalities and watching them grow and blossom as they create their family kept me on pins and needles as I kept waiting for the bad to happen. I know it has to come, but I love these kids so much I don’t want anything to happen to them.

Thomas Reid is a hottie and I think he is holding a secret that will add more to the suspense.

H D Gordon can take a familiar theme and twist it so creatively that it becomes fresh and original. Her descriptive writing makes the story seem real and I am unable to resist being drawn in deeper with each page I read. The Halfling has so much that I love, the paranormal, fantasy, determined women (albeit young ones) and so much more. As the story grows, so too does the suspense and mystery. I never saw where this was going and I love when a book exceeds my expectations. I can hardly wait to see what happens next.

I received an ARC of Halfling by H D Gordon in return for an honest review.

    Thank Heaven for Strong Women

Ok my favorite reads are the ones that have tough heroines. The ones that throw a few punches, fight their own battles. This book rocked so hard! I loved the two male potential's romances. The romance influences was well written. I bet Aria would be great with either of them. And let me the tell you the Best Friend Sam cracked me up. This book dealt with bullies and depression. It had kick but action scenes. So much to love about this book. If I got to pick a character to be out of the many books I've read I'd choose Aria. This book kept me up way into the next morning. Worth my book hangover. This is worth buying right now. ❤️

I bid you adieu.... by Uderzo
    By Aditya Simha
This is definitely not a book meant for starter Asterix fans - this is more like a finale book! Once you read this book, you realize that this is precisely that - an adieu by Uderzo. It is highly improbable that he will write another Asterix book again, and so we get this Birthday book, which is basically a collage featuring characters from all the other books making an appearance in this book. The book itself is not terrible, but it's not good either! Rather like a Curate's egg!

The story is weak, however I would still recommend getting this title just so one can complete one's original Asterix collection. As events have it, Asterix will probably live on and continue making appearances in new titles, however they will be titles by other authors, not Goscinny or Uderzo. That spoils the charm! I wish Uderzo had gone the Herge way, but there you have it, he's not!

So, like I said - get this book just because it's going to be Uderzo's last!

    Last book by original authors.
    By Jay O
Last book of the series by the original drawing artist Uderzo. It marks the 50th anniversary of the series (1959-2009) and includes many of the characters that appear on the 33 previous books, including both authors. The story is unremarkable but it is a collector's must-have.

Asterix and Obelix's Birthday: The Golden Book
    By braveskimom
What can I say? I buy the Asterix books for my middle school sons who adore them. They were first introduced to them when they were in grade school, by some friends from France. I was always an anti-comic book mom, but how can I complain when world history is thrown into the story? Both boys (ages 12 and 14) read and reread all of the titles we own. We have the paperback versions and the bindings are very sturdy and hold up to all the wear and tear and usage. They love 'em!

A child-friendlypicture bookbiography, featuring reproductions of Picasso masterpieces and a foldoutrepresentation of Picasso at work

People were always saying, "No! No! No! Picasso!"
    But Picasso said . . . "Yes!"

In this funny and accessible introduction to Picasso and art, children learn thatdaring to be different can be rewarding.Picasso doesn't listen when people tell him "No!" Instead, he paints all-blue pictures, all-pink pictures, plus pictures from the front and side all at the same time. He makes art out of bikeparts and he can draw pictures in less than 60 seconds. Soon he becomes one of the greatest painters in the world, but he still wants to be different.

    From School Library Journal
Gr 1-3–Allan touches on Picasso's life and provides a succinct look at his artistic style. He describes the artist's blue period, his approach to capturing human faces, his use of bike parts to create art, and his emphasis on heaviness. The intriguing title does not fully reflect the content; Picasso's humorous quest for striped trousers does not receive attention until the last third of the story. Wanting to be the best-dressed painter, he searched for pants to match his striped shirt. The illustrations have a painterly quality. Reproductions of Picasso's art are also included; some examples contain nudity. The font, which looks like handwriting, uses uppercase letters to draw attention to selected words and phrases in a manner that can sometimes be distracting. A foldout displaying young Picasso at work in his studio appears early on while a flap at the end reveals the artist's striped underwear and socks. Large black arrows in the illustrations of his trouser choices show the direction of the stripes. This book is much broader in coverage than Mil Niepold and Jeanyves Verdu's Oooh! Picasso (Tricycle, 2009). Libraries in which more materials on Picasso are needed will find this unusual biography helpful.–Lynn Vanca, Freelance Librarian, Akron, OHα(c) Copyright 2013. Review
"Allan’s paintings teem with an energy to match that of the artist. . . .A lively portrait of a singularly dedicated artist." —Publishers Weekly

Wonderful start to an interest in art
    By Mindy
I bought this while traveling in Hong Kong but am so excited to see it available here too so I can share and recommend it to friends in the US. Fun story about Picasso and basic introduction to some of his work and style. Written in a way that is entertaining to a child. I read it to my 2 year old and he loves it and requests it regularly. Wonderful way to spark an interest in art and art history for a little one. Wish he wrote this same style for other artists.

    Great Picasso intro for preschoolers
    By Anne Boynton
This is a delightful option for introducing Picasso to preschoolers. Very short text, lots of examples of Picasso work in a wide range styles. But what makes it emotionally relevant to young children is Picasso saying YES (to fun creative ideas) when "everyone else" says "no no no Picasso!" Every 3 and 4 year old can relate to grown ups setting limits, and the joy of finding ways to move beyond those limits. There is even a bit of underwear humor.

I'm surprised to see this labeled for early elementary. It's pretty short -- I think a better fit for preschool.

I think it's great as art education -- but won't give it 5 stars because ultimately it still reads like "education". My 3 yr old listens attentively when I pick it, but it's not one she gravitates towards on her own.

Finally, a yang to Mary Mary Quite Contrary's yin!
    By Emi Bevacqua
This came so highly recommended to us from Rosie in London that we imported a copy of our own when we weren't able to find it through the library. And it was totally worth it!

Pablo Picasso's spirit and art are presented here in a super fun format, capitalizing on the thrilling chorus, "No! No! No! Picasso!". For American readers, please note on the last page (4th line up from the bottom) that "pants" in the UK means "underpants" to us.

Speak Fluent Man: The Top Ten Things Women Should Consider Before Blaming the Man, by Von Decarlo

Everyone wants a good relationship, but very few people have the courage to attain one. Many of us spend years spiraling in and out of failed relationships and marriages only to find ourselves becoming less likely to trust anyone with our hearts in the future. So how do you stop the cycle of failed relationships and maintain a solid, loving relationship with your chosen mate? You start by telling and accepting the truth.

Von Decarlo and Patrice O’Neal, a comedian well known for his brutal
honesty, shared a long-lasting ten-year relationship before his passing in 2011. She credits him for teaching her how to become a better woman, mother, wife, friend, performer, and business person. By abstaining from marginalizing and rejecting his man truth, Von Decarlo became fluent in “speaking man,” thereby gaining the empathy and knowledge of the male species.

A book for both men and women, Von Decarlo shares the philosophies taught to her by Patrice O’Neal that enabled her to speak fluent man and have such a unique, successful relationship with him for a decade.
From O’Neal, Von lived and learned the true give-and-take of a successful relationship; they were partners in every sense of the word, fully supporting one another’s dreams and endeavors. Having lived every woman’s dream of a dynamic relationship, today Von Decarlo, also known as "Coach Von", observes and guides women (and men) regarding their relationship foibles and quandaries, from her perspective.

This level of her “coaching” is from her personal experience. And lest that title, Speak Fluent Man: The Top Things Women Should Consider Before Blaming The Man, sound anti-woman, Von Decarlo asserts that ladies should be mindful that equality and accountability goes both ways. There is the woman’s side, the man’s side and hopefully, there is their side, when they come together/work together and agree to build a mutually beneficial union between them.

Speak Fluent Man is a great read for men as well, considering that although they already speak their own language, men sometimes do not know how to translate and teach it to their significant others as Patrice did so successfully. Patrice's ability to teach Von how to think above her emotions as a woman into a logical place, is the foundation of what she says enabled her to understand and accept “man truth”, and thus realizing the secrets to a successful relationship.

Whether you are male, female, heterosexual, bisexual, transsexual, or transgender, Speak Fluent Man can help you to realize the full potential in any type of relationship, by helping you to understand how to have the courage to live in your own truth, and accept the truth of others unconditionally.

First off Thank you Coach Von for having the strength to write that last chapter I couldn't even imagine how hard it was to write

Secondly the book is very insightful and thought provoking. I've listened to Patrice's wisdom for years but for some reason seeing it written down and structured is making more sense to me and thus I will start to use it in my everyday life. This is also a great guide to teach my daughter to become more than her nature and to rise above and have a personality

Thanks again and can't wait for the next book

    Nobody Did It Better!!!
    By A. Wilburn
I don't think I could find the words to describe how amazing this book is but I'm going to try. If you didn't know, Patrice O'Neal was more than a comedian. He was a philosopher. When Patrice was alive, everybody wanted him to write a book, but he never got around to it before he died. He said he wanted Von to write about his philosophies from her perspective. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first since I tend to prefer a book about someone's life or thoughts to be written by them so I didn't know how it was going to turn out.

It turned out to be one of the best books that I have ever read in my life. Von did a great...no...Von did a superb job of capturing the essence of Patrice's perspectives in this book. It was like I could hear him speaking to me while reading it. I would say it's quite the page turner, but that would be an understatement. Not only does Von talk about Patrice's philosophies. She uses very personal details from her life to help illustrate their meaning. There is a part in the book where Von talks about how a couple should complement each other. It sounds like common sense, but Von breaks it down so people can understand you shouldn't try to change someone or try to force them to act a certain way that is not their nature.

There are so many great parts in this book that it would be too much to type. I wouldn't want to spoil it anyway. This book isn't just about relationships, but life in general. To be honest, reading this book has had a impact on me. It made me look in the mirror and check myself. Patrice always talked about wanting to live life in righteousness. That is something that I'm definitely trying to do.

I think anyone male or female would gain some perspective that would help them in life after reading this book. I will go as far as to say, reading this book would be more helpful than any relationship counseling if a couple were going through something. It would definitely help them examine themselves and fix anything in the relationship that can be fixed. It also might let them know that they aren't really compatible and would probably be better off going their separate ways. That might sound a little harsh, but Patrice always was about a person needing to get their medicine(figuratively speaking of course) no matter how bad they thought it tasted.

Nobody Did It Better. This is so true about Patrice and it's also a reference to the song "Nobody Does It Better" by Carly Simon. It was one of Patrice's favorite songs and you will find out why while reading. It's one of my favorite parts of the book. It's also one of the saddest parts because it makes you miss Patrice even more. He was definitely one of the greatest comedians to ever live. If not the greatest.

His routines and outlook on life not only made you laugh out loud, but really made you think. Of course, Patrice wasn't the only comedian to do this. He stood out by way he was able to break down just about any subject and look at it logically which was really something. Not only that, It seemed like Patrice was on a mission to help people live a better life. It was like he was a comedic life guide. This book is a guide for life that I will be definitely referring back to. I feel that it should be taught in psychology, philosophy, and/or sociology classes. It's that deep.

I'm so glad Von wrote it. I know it had to be hard to reveal and relive certain things like Patrice's death for example. I'm also glad my purchase went to support Patrice's family and his legacy. After reading this book, it makes me wish Patrice was still with us more than ever. His perspective is definitely needed today. I could go on and on about how great this book is. To whoever who is reading this, stop everything you are doing and purchase it right now. You won't regret it. I most certainly didn't. To Von, thank you so much for writing it. I know I'm not the only one, but I really appreciate it.

    R.I.P. Patrice

    It's Honest

Thank you Von for the peak inside your life with whom I consider one of the greatest and most underrated thinkers of our time Patrice O'Neal. This is not a step by step guide that tells you how to make your relationships magical... It's more of an outline on how to look inside of yourself and find your truth that will make you and your partner better for it.
