Music is exciting in itself and it can literally change lives, as Vincent shows with all the stories that he shares here. I love that fact that now when I listen to some songs I also remember those stories. In a certain way, this book changed the way I see, hear and feel music!!! Loved it!!!

An inspiring little gem!

This book is an inspiring little gem! Of course everyone knows how important music is, but when I flipped through and started reading a few of these stories, some of them really blew my socks off, like the story about the overweight high school girl who was encouraged to sing in a school performance and astonished her classmates, then went on to become a Grammy-winning artist. The great thing about this book for ADD types like me is how short each story is. I can open up the book to any page and gobble up a few great stories, and at the same time become acquainted with a great many artists, some famous, some not. All of them offer their own unique approach to the simple question "What makes music important to you"...probably as unique as their music. And their stories are touching and personal.

I heartily recommend this book for anyone - be they musician or listener. Just buy it:)

I recall having this book assigned when I was an architectural student in the 1980s. I found it invaluable then. I still use it for reference today, some thirty years later. The book was among the first to compile in one comprehensive summary that buildings can be designed to take advantage of natural climate. It has detailed explanation of over 100 climate design practices that can be applied to homes and small scale buildings. The bibliography lists references for building science and climatology dating back to the early 1900s, and thus is invaluable for research. Architects, builders, and anyone interested in energy efficient building design will find this a still useful reference.

I got this book a few days ago. I enjoyed reading it a lot, and I thought it was really cool. It wasn't as scary as some of his books, but it was pretty scary. It takes place in a place called Wolf Creek. It's about two people that live in the neighborhood, and they're werewolves. But, instead of changing into a creature under a full moon, they pull their wolf skin over their bodies, and go out to hunt. Then, in the morning, they take their skin off and lead their lives as humans. I liked it, and I think you will too.

Cheap with E-book

I bought this for $5.49, which is the cheapest access code I've purchased yet. The website will not work on mobile devices as it needs Adobe Flash; unfortunately, technology these days have tossed Adobe Flash now, which is very inconvenient.

The material is not difficult to read, but since I bought this without a textbook, it was difficult to read on a computer screen for several hours.

Depending on your professor, using this product will either be useful or a plain waste. All it has is the e-book and it allows learning resources but those might not be of use if your professor doesn't require it.

This is a cheap version of the textbook. Have fun.
