Fifty Ways to Leave Your Husband, by k.c. wilder

Eve Wolcott has it all: a handsome, successful husband from a moneyed old New England family, two bright young sons enrolled in a premier prep school, stately homes sprinkled along the East Coast.

Except her husband is a serial philanderer, her mother-in-law is the devil in Lily Pulitzer, one of her sons is miserable at prep school while the other is dismissive of her altogether, and it takes a cocktail of antidepressants to get Eve through her day.

When a chance encounter with a hunky stranger coincides with Eve's discovery of her husband's latest betrayal, she throws caution (and at least one perfectly good pair of panties) to the wind. Is she having a crisis inspired by her impending fortieth birthday, or is she just ready to take a long, hard look at her life and shake things up a bit?

Cheered on by Tamara, her brash, potty-mouthed best friend, Eve embarks on a steamy adventure with perpetual playboy Finn. Against the rich backdrop of coastal Rhode Island, Eve discovers how much of herself she's sacrificed over the years - and how much more she may have to sacrifice yet to bring passion and meaning back into her life.

*Intended for adult audiences 18+ only. Strong language and sexual situations.

From the Author
The absolute best time I've ever had writing a book. It felt fun and sexy writing Fifty Ways to Leave Your Husband, and I hope it feels the same way reading it!

About the Author
k.c. wilder is the author of the novel Fifty Ways to Leave Your Husband. She lives in Rhode Island with her husband, her son, two dogs and a cat, all of whom are deeply embarrassed that she's written a book with so dang many sex scenes. She'd love it if you'd "like" her on Facebook, follow her on Twitter, subscribe to her blog on Tumblr, or best of all, buy her book!

Could not put it down!
By Leah Clair
Have been looking for a good book for a while. I could not put this one down. Much better than 50 Shades of Gray, had all the erotic elements in a more believable and tasteful manner. Suspenseful plot without being predictable and characters that an actual woman can relate to. Just as good as any of the other 'chick lit' style writers out there(Jennifer Weiner, Sophie Kinsella, etc...) I look forward to more writing from this author.

50 Reasons to read Fifty Ways to Leave Your Husband
By Emilee K.
Eve Wolcott, the tamed vixen of K.C. Wilder's new novel, is reaching 40 and "has it all." I am half her age and just beginning. That being said, I have never been in a serious relationship, let alone an unhappy marriage with such a wormy man as Skip. I also have always been coddled by my mother, so Eve's mother-in-law from Hell definitely elicited a "holy moley," if not a "holy sh**" (You'll have to read the book and see how you respond to Kitty Wolcott). Additionally, while Eve is in the middle of raising two moody teenagers, I've just escaped that awkward stage of life. Oh, and, Eve exists in a fictitious context while I am stuck in reality.
Despite all of our differences, I relate to Eve in many ways. Eve reaches a point in life in which she doesn't feel comfortable in her own skin. I feel like I've been stuck at that point for several years. In fact, I think everyone experiences that inner anarchy at some time in their lives. However, K.C. Wilder is our savior! She skillfully speaks to the little mermaid in us all who wants to escape, who wants more. I'm not referring to Ariel, because if she met Finn I think she would be more than happy to keep her tail and surf with him all day. Besides, I don't think Disney would approve of Wilder's version of the fairytale.
Truthfully, the story isn't a fairytale. There's actually "sh** everywhere" (one of my favorite parts of the story). Poor Eve is up to her ears in it. It's no surprise her lifeline in not woven, but written (probably quite sloppily) on Rx pads. But, when Finn enters her life, she opens her eyes to the idea of escape and the possibility of more. I think it's his abs and paddleboard that help her surface, not to mention the tenderness he offers her; something she's had to live so long without.
I want to say thank you to K.C. Wilder for writing such a heart-warming and stomach-hurting (because of laughter, don't worry) story. Are there 50 reasons to read 50 Ways to Leave Your Husband?" You bet! There are more. Why should I list them when it would be so much easier and quite more enjoyable for you to read the book? Right now you're probably asking yourself, "Will I? Wont I?" Well, so did Eve; and, I know what she did!

Fifty Ways to Leave Your Husband... and some of them are more fun than others.
By Deb Nam-Krane
Disclaimer: I received a free review copy in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my review.

Eve Wolcott looks like she has everything, but she's very aware of how little it really is. The handsome husband is a cheat, the children she adores are going to boarding school against her better judgment and the law career she could have had dissipated fourteen years ago. When her best friend has to bail on their annual girls' weekend because of a death in the family, Eve takes the first step toward being brave and continues on without her.

Good thing she's ready to take risks, because her world is about to be thrown for a loop. Is it a good or bad thing that handsome, debonair Finn is there to encourage her in her journey? And is her new can-do attitude going to be enough to help her stare down her mother-in-law, the indomitable Kitty?

As thrilling (and occasionally shocking) as it is to read through Eve's journey, the story of how she became Mrs. Wolcott was equally poignant. We see through Eve that Skip really did love her (or as well as someone like him could), and later we understand why Eve's instinct to stay with him might have been more protective than she realized. Even Kitty, who turns out to be much worse than Eve had imagined, is able to elicit a little bit of sympathy when we learn about her background. (A little bit...)

Eve's wit throughout the book provides for plenty of laughs, whether she's poking fun at herself (as she frequently does) or at other people (her thoughts about the hotel valet are hilarious). She's the kind of character we want to see self-actualized, and if that includes spending some quality time with a hot new stranger, so much the better.

Recommended for fans of chick lit.
